Introduction:
I am currently a Ramon y Cajal fellow in the Color in Context group (CIC) in the Computer Vision Center in Barcelona, associated to the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. My main research interest is in applying color imaging theory to the field of computer vision: color constancy, color naming, object recognition, recoloring algorithms, color feature detection and color feature extraction.

• we will organize the Color and Photometry in Computer Vision Workshop (CPCV 2012), held in conjunction with ECCV 2012 in Florence.
• Together with Theo Gevers, Arjan Gijsenij and Jan-Mark Geusebroek, we submitted our book Color in Computer Vision: Fundamentals and Applications.
• I am giving a tutorial together with Theo Gevers and Keigo Hirakawa at ICCV.
• I am tutorial chair for the IBPRIA 2011 at Las Palmas de Gran Canarias.
• we organize the Color and Photometry in Computer Vision Workshop (CPCV 2011), held in conjunction with ICCV 2011.
• I give a keynote lecture at the VISIGRAPP 2011 conference in Portugal.
• we obtained first positions in VOC PASCAL challenge 2010 on image segmentation and action classification.

• we organize the Color and Reflectance in Imaging and Computer Vision Workshop (CRICV 2010), held in conjunction with ECCV 2010.
